Erv's Background

Erv brings decades of experience in teaching personal finance, strategic management, and entrepreneurship to his role coaching. Currently he is the Lead Entrepreneurship Faculty at the Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship, and he taught entrepreneurship and management at Roberts Wesleyan University for twenty two years. He also has a successful track record as an entrepreneur himself, having launched a furniture retailer Laflammes Inc. and a Snap Fitness franchise. Erv has coached business owners as well as non-profit leaders and community developers.

Among the values that speak to him, he points to integrity, caring, and courageousness. “Being courageous is fundamental to moving when fear and uncertainty can hold you in place,” he says. The power of laughter helps, too, he says. “I love to bring a sense of humor to my clients alongside all the thoughtful questions and discussions about how business can create a healthier community,” Erv says. He enjoys the outdoors across every season of the year. Erv and his wife have three adult children and two grandchildren.
