When I arrived at MCC, I wasn’t that close to God. I was kind of pushing myself away from him. I had no reason to, I just thought that I didn’t need him in my life. But then a friend, Mira, introduced me to Campus One80. At first, I was a little bit scared because I didn’t know anyone. It was my first time ever going to a Bible study when my parents weren’t there. But over a couple weeks and making new friends, I felt like I was more comfortable with Campus One80. Going on my first retreat in the winter, I still was kind of nervous because I had never gone on a trip with a bunch of Christians before. I was afraid they were gonna judge me, but they didn’t. They made me feel like I was at home. I made a lot of friends on my first retreat, and I felt that Campus One80 was going to help me through a lot of things that I thought I couldn’t get help for. As time went on and the more Bible studies I went to and the more people I met that were Christian as well, the more I felt closer to God because I found out that I wasn’t alone in any of my struggles. I also was able to find a friend, a brother, and a mentor in Campus One80 named Sam who’s been helping me through a lot especially when I thought I wasn’t a good enough Christian. As I look back, it’s amazing to see the obstacles I’ve been through with them and how they have been there. If you’re wondering is Campus One80 really for me? Will I be judged? Will I find friends? Don’t worry because Campus One80 will always be there for you no matter what, and God will always be there for you no matter what.
